The pool is in!
Hello!
Thought I'd give everyone a bit of an update. Things all good on this side :) We had the pool put in a couple of weeks ago and since then Rob (with a lot of help!) has put in a lot of work leveling out the mounds of dirt and building a retaining wall. We still need to get the area paved and put the rest of the fence up...hopefully we can have it all done before we leave for Christmas.
Everything going fine with the baby, we have our scan the day before we fly to London so I will be able to bring you a picture (we were hoping to have a scan at the midwifes appointment but they didn't do one as I had one at 7 weeks). Bump getting bigger by the day....most of my trousers/shorts no longer fit so I am spending a lot of time at home in my pj's!
Work took the news well..much better than I expected (what with them just paying thousands of dollars to sponsor me). They have all been really nice and have said they are happy for me to have the time off and then return to part-time hours for a while before going back to full-time.
I am now just counting down the days until I get to go home for Christmas...(26 to be precise!). I am so excited to see everyone, I can't beleive it has been almost 2 years, and oh how much my life has changed!
Love to you all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The news is out!
So finally you all know our wonderful news. It's been hard keeping it a secret for the past 6 weeks or so, but it has also has given us some time to get used to the idea ourselves before broadcasting it! Our due date is around 28th April, which means I have to endure a pregnancy through the build up and wet season- the hottest time of the year in Darwin (it was 36'c over the weekend). I have had my first scan (at 7 weeks) and am due for my next appointment and second scan on 26th October. I would load a photo of the first scan but it looks like a cross between a smudge and a kidney bean so I will wait until the next one when hopefully it will look a little more human!
I have been really lucky so far with little to no symptoms...tiredness and that's about it. Although Rob seems to think that's just my excuse to lie around and do nothing! Sounds funny, but I almost wish I did have some symptoms as it doesn't quite feel real. Although I know I shouldn't say that as pregnant women worldwide who have had their heads in the toilet for the past 2 months will be cursing me. My main "symptom" right now is my ever expanding waist line which seems to be enourmous already. I have to keep rembering to do my trousers up before getting out of the car...

Our other good news is that we are getting a pool installed (thank god!) which should be all in just in time for my birthday hopefully. We are just waiting on a house valuation on Monday which is to secure the loan and then we can get it all paid for and they can come and put it in! I will post some pictures when they start.
I'm going to tell work the news next week (before anyone else guesses) so wish me luck. They're not going to be too happy!
Love to you all xxxxxxxxxxxxx
